Here to develop compassionate leaders…
I’m often asked if holistic wellness programs help employees be more “productive” and if it will save the company money. Fair question and totally appropriate. Other wellness coaches love sharing the data and research in this area. I’m hesitant to share that information because I want to know why I’m needed or requested.
I cultivate compassionate leaders and support communities that make their people the priority. That’s my priority.
In the Army, the good leaders emphasized (and practiced) “mission first, Soldiers always.” When requested to offer trainings, I ask why does the organization want a wellness program. I’m noticing a shift recently. I get more people and leaders who want to improve their team because they care about them. (sure - they will gladly accept any secondary benefits)
Mission first, people always.
Maybe it will help the save on health insurance and perhaps employees will feel more motivated to produce more. The priority, however, is that we develop a compassionate culture, focused on people always.
Cultivate compassion leaders.
Mission first, people always.
